The main objective of integrating remote sensors into the modules is to understand the connection between swell, weather, water conditions and stresses on the raft that would maximize the mollusc growth rate and harvesting.

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Solar radiation
  • Wind speed and direction
  • Chlorophyll in water

  • Water temperature

  • Water salinity
  • Dissolution of solids in water
  • Inclination, module inertia

  • Rope load

Real-time values of parameters such as water quality, environmental conditions or the state of the module structure are collected through the use of digital monitoring tools and Big Data, allowing farmers to improve the efficiency and sustainability of their harvest, as well as facilitating predictability and traceability of the business.

The camera installed on the tester number 1 allows to capture high-resolution images offering a complete 360º view. Thus, the status of the modules or the weather conditions can be monitored remotely by an immersive navigation, with the possibility of expanding the points of interest to see the details.

Open access
